When I get period cramps, I usually start with a heating pad on my lower belly it helps a lot. I also try to move around a bit, like stretching or just walking around the house. It sounds annoying, but it actually eases the pain.
I drink tons of water and usually make myself a cup of ginger or chamomile tea.
