why so many girls are getting period at an early age?
I’ve noticed that girls seem to be getting their first periods at a much younger age nowadays. I got mine at 12, while my mum and aunts started around 14–15, and my grandmother around 15–16. Now, some girls are starting as early as 8–10. I’ve also heard people say that periods used to be less painful in the past, although I’m not sure how true that is. Could changes in diet, lifestyle, the environment, or other factors be causing girls to start puberty earlier? And has menstrual pain actually become more common, or are we simply more aware of it now?
